Why do people hate kate bosworth

I am naturally pretty small and, when I got the role, the producer was like, "I don't know if you can play a surfer believably. You're going to have to put on some muscle. K: I was weight training and learning to surf seven hours a day, seven days a week, for four months.

I gained 15 pounds of muscle, which is a lot for me. It was a completely different body shape…like putting on a costume to get into character. I didn't fit into my jeans, and that had never happened before.

My weight usually doesn't fluctuate. K: No. I hate to answer this because it sounds so horrible, but I've never had to. I would have three huge bowls of ice cream for dinner. But even though I don't usually have to watch it, I feel better when I eat healthy. I just went to a nutritionist, and it was fascinating.

K: Well, I have one scar…on my Achilles tendon. I hit my foot against the reef. But I didn't have any real battle wounds. I had a stunt double.

K: I don't really. I think I got a little burned out on it, as much as I love it. K: Riding is still my passion. I want to start jumping again—I love the excitement of completing a course really well. Now I mostly ride with my aunt. She has two horses, and we go out on the trails and gallop around.

I also like to curl up with a book or watch a movie, and I want to get into yoga more. C: Now on to Tad Hamilton. If you were Rosalee, would you have picked Tad or Pete? K: I would have picked Pete [Topher Grace].

I love Josh Duhamel with all my heart, but I loved Topher's character in that movie. He was so sweet, and he just loved her so dearly. I can't deal with someone flashy. That's so not me. C: Rosalee had a crush on a star. Who was your first celeb crush growing up? I didn't have pictures of him plastered all over my wall, but he was definitely my secret crush. K: Kevin [Spacey], because he's one of my favorite actors. The Usual Suspects and American Beauty are two of my favorite movies.

When I got the call that he wanted to meet with me for the part, I was like "Show me the dotted line! C: What was it like kissing Kevin Spacey, who's a good 23 years older than you are? K: I didn't think about it at all, actually. By that point, Kevin and I had established an amazing relationship. It's weird; as an audience you watch a sex scene and it's like "Oh my God. And I tend to work with a lot of older men anyway for some reason. K: Confidence and humility. I've been across the map in terms of physicality.

Truly, way across the map. I like somebody who's not so crazy but likes to have a good time…and who is thoughtful and kind and easy to laugh with. Somebody you can just be yourself with one hundred and fifty percent. K: I've never really dated. I've always met that person and just knew. I'm a serial monogamist. I've had four boyfriends, starting from when I was 15, and then it's been about two years each.

I've almost never been single. I've never broken up with somebody and then gone on a date. I just deal with myself and move on to somebody else. K: It's always the little thoughtful things.

I have been lucky in love. The guys have all been so great. You know what I had once that was cool? I had this boyfriend— this was a while ago—and for my 18th birthday, he made a bunch of candles using my favorite scent.

K: Probably flying a really, really long distance to see someone for a day. K: Flying. Someone from the airline greets me at the airport and takes me through security, and sometimes I get on the plane first. I hate flying, and this makes me feel less nervous. K: Seeing a photo [in a magazine] and being like "Wow, where did that come from?

I had no idea that somebody was watching me then. C: The issue of privacy comes up in Beyond the Sea, because both characters are famous. How do you and Orlando handle that in real life? K: I don't discuss our relationship in interviews and we don't go out to the high-profile places. If you want to go to The Ivy, that's great, but know that there will be paparazzi there. If you don't want to deal with it, then don't go. There are lots of other great restaurants in L.

K: We are really low-key. Since we are traveling so much and have different schedules, it's so nice to have the moments when it's relaxed and no one else is around.

So it's just watching a movie and ordering takeout. K: I sleep in and then get on my treadmill and do some fast walking. I do it on an incline because I feel like I have a back with a crack. The pretty starlet was snapped with film director, Michael Polish, after leaving a recent Coldplay concert in Los Angeles, where she also debuted her new blue dip-dyed locks.

It was revealed in April that Kate, who has also dated model James Rousseau and British actor Orlando Bloom in the past, had landed the role of Billie in the big screen adaptation of Big Sur. The film will be the sixth that Michael has directed. He also writes and produces movies with his twin brother, Mark Polish. What do you think of Kate and Michael together? Do they make a good couple? Or did you prefer her with Alexander?
