He helped in mobilising Ishgar forces against Alvarez Army. His backstory is given below Spoiler Ichiya was once the greatest mage in the whole world. But he refused and insisted it be given to God Serena.
Later he left Fiore and started roaming the world. As it happened in Bosco he met a Dragon Slayer named Acnologia. The two became great friends and started destroying things together. Ichiya at once destroyed a country and showed the majestic Spectacle to Acnologia. Acnologia became amazed by Ichiya's feat. He said,"I can only destroy an island with a single attack but you can destroy a country with it.
Wow just wow. But a quarrel soon broke out between them and it ended when Ichiya easily defeated Acnologia.
Enraged by his betrayal Ichiya left Bosco and met Zeref. He advised Zeref to create an Empire to defeat Acnologia which later came to be known as Alvarez Empire. Then Ichiya returned to Fiore. He was an ex-member of Fairy Tail. He left his former guild to make his own guild. He wanted to make his own family in his guild and looked at Yuuki who was very charismatic said his guild was the best guild in the word. He shed tears and looked at Yuuki with adored's eyes. Yuuki was fine to hug his older brother but to hug another strange guy was a different matter. He had already tolerated his older brother. He didn't need to tolerate another guy.

The atmosphere a bit awkward until Ichiya said something that surprised everyone. Both brothers hugged each other and Yuuki said something that made everyone startled. Unknowingly, Ichiya spills some the perfume in the sewers, causing it to reach Magnolia.
This starts an Ichiya plague in the town, turning nearly the entire town. After the plague was stopped, the perfume was banned by the Council and Ichiya imprisoned for his actions. Ichiya and the Trimens, alongside Jenny, fly out in Christina, aiming to destroy the Face bombs around Fiore. However, as Magic is drained from Earth Land, Christina begins to fall. Just then, a voice calls out to them, asking them to move aside; a figure soon appearing and destroying a nearby Face.
Ichiya heads to Pegasus Village hot springs to meet up with the Fairy Tail members currently relaxing there, and tells them that Laxus and the Thunder God Tribe have joined Blue Pegasus , something which angers Gajeel who wanted to reveal the information himself.
Ichiya accidentally flashes Elfman , who subsequently punches him into Gajeel, the latter being sent flying to the women's side of the hot springs. Later, Ichiya watches as Gajeel and Elfman burst into the guild to take back Laxus and the Thunder God Tribe, but tries to reprimand them and is ignored; the same occurs when Lisanna , Cana , Mirajane and Levy storm in and demand the Christina; and again when Laxus declares that they're going to go to the Alvarez Empire.
He corrects Levy when she says it's her ship, saying it's actually his, [63] and after successfully saving the group, when Makarov says that Fairy Tail is the best family, Ichiya points out that he does not belong in that family, [64] and tries to stop him from bawling on the ship, only to be ignored. When they get back to Magnolia, Ichiya is left behind as everyone runs off to the guild, his complaints still being brushed to the side. He then subsequently begins performing maintenance and refueling on the Christina.
A week after commencing the refueling and repair on the Christina, Ichiya saves the Thunder God Tribe from certain death at the hands of Wall Eehto of the Spriggan 12 by blasting the Machias and his Weakness Soldiers with lightning , tricking the three into thinking Laxus had appeared. To take down Wall, Ichiya releases his Poison Perfume , but that is rendered ineffective due to Wall's lack of a nose, and he is punched aside by the Machias.
To counter Wall, Ichiya uses his Justice Thunder Men to exploit the machine's conductibility of electricity, but Wall absorbs the electricity with his Vortex Charge and transforms into a more dangerous, powerful state, releasing a shockwave as he does so that knocks Ichiya out. The head, surprisingly, opens its mouth and explodes right underneath Ichiya, but he is saved by the Thunder God Tribe, who remark that they are even now, and that they saved Ichiya because he is their family too; such an act brings him to tears.
Not much later, to save Fairy Tail from destruction at the hands of the real Wall Eehto's cannon blast , Ichiya places the Christina into the line of fire. Though the ship is destroyed and Ichiya is badly wounded, he activates the Fiore Communications Network feature of the ship and calls out to all the other major guilds of Fiore to come assist Fairy Tail in the war against Alvarez. Mere moments later, when Fried voices despondent concerns about Laxus overexerting himself, Ichiya merely listens in silence.
These perfumes have a myriad of effects that he can exploit at his disposal. This seems to be pretty useful, but with the exception of Power Perfume, most of his spells are supportive and passive. Erza has said he is a powerful Mage, of the "well-to-do" sort. Enhanced Smell : Ichiya possesses a remarkable sense of smell, probably on par if not greater with that a Dragon Slayer's, being able to tell whether a Mage has good or rare Magic simply by their smell.
Enhanced Durability : In spite of his small stature, Ichiya has proven himself to be quite resilient to physical punishment: he was shown capable of remaining conscious while suffering a heavy beating from two opponents, enduring both the blows from Rocker 's Drill 'n Rock and, most importantly, the magically-enhanced palm strikes from the melee specialist Bacchus, and subsequently managed to fight back. Hand-to-Hand Combatant : Due to Ichiya's primary Magic being a supportive type Perfume Magic , Ichiya has been seen to employ hand-to-hand combat in battles.
He uses this means of fighting while being enhanced by his Power Perfume in which he become skillful enough to defeat Bacchus in melee combat. Dancing Specialist : While never openly shown, Ichiya seems to be a capable dancer, having defeated Vijeeter Ecor , someone specializing in dance and even employing it as the medium for his main Magic , in a dance battle which took place during the Grand Magic Games , several years prior to X As the Fairy Tail Guild partakes in a game of swapping clothes, Ichiya spontaneously appears and questions where his clothes went, with Gajeel later revealing to be wearing them.
As Gajeel notes his fondness of Ichiya's clothing by mentioning how it suits him perfectly, Ichiya astonishingly denies it. On a trip to the Fiore hotspot known as Ryuzetsu Land, Ichiya and the Trimens initially spend their time attempting to flirt with Erza and Lucy. As Ichiya and the men start talking about perfume, Erza has enough of their talk and scolds each of them individually, except for Ichiya in whom she has no interest.
Distraught, Ichiya grabs her bikini top and begs to be scolded, earning him a kick which sends him flying as Erza dislikes her "legendary" swimsuit being pulled. Returning shortly after to talk about "legendary perfume" as a result, Ichiya is once again kicked away. Landing and getting stuck face-first into a rock formation, Ichiya soon breaks out and meets with Natsu, with whom he decides to go eat.
I didn't want to know if you did it or not, just that it's something that happens. Jellal could have had a moment of weakness and kiss her or wanting to do it before realizing he shouldn't and making a bs excuse for it. That's why it's ambiguous. If it was clear, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Mashima surely did that on purpose. You are now the only one in the post who believe they did now. Not everyone believes in the same thing despite the facts being shown.
Yeah the fact that it is ambiguous that Mashima gave us. Right here. I've always disliked the way Jellal was written for a lot of these exact reasons. The emo thing, the constant guilt trip, the fact that he tried - for whatever reason - to kill Erza and DID kill Simon. I always felt bad for him as a character, but there was just too much there for me to really like him. I also wonder - if he and Erza get married, how long does she put up with his whiny, guilt-ridden, self-loathing?
And how does the couple forget about Simon? And what would it say if they DID forget about Simon? I don't remember him kissing Erza, though. Leading her on - yes, he does on several occasions. He did embrace her in the Tower of Heaven, before betraying her sympathy for him and attacking her.
But I don't think he kissed her. On the other hand - Ichiya, is grossly underrated. Yes, he comes on too strong, acts like a clown sometimes, and looks like a "little troll.
The attack he made on Acnologia with Anna showed exactly who he is. If more men took Ichiya as a role model, the world would be a better place. When he was first introduced, I hated him. I mean, I thought he was ridiculous. Have you even read the FT sequel?
